Accused Baltimore Murderer In Custody After Years-Long Investigation, Police Say

Baltimore Police have arrested a 26-year-old man they say is responsible for a 2019 murder of a 20-year-old man in the city.

Melvin Wright is accused of shooting and killing Tavon Travis in the 3600 block of Marmon Avenue on Jan. 9, 2019.

On Tuesday, Feb. 21, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Wright, who was taken into custody on Thursday, Feb. 23, in the 6000 block of Green Meadow Parkway, according to Baltimore police.

Detectives transported Wright to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with first-degree murder.
